Franklin knows how to recruit. And he is in fertile recruiting territory. PSU has been the sleeping giant of the B1G. They were kept down for about ten years by Paterno's egotistical refusal to retire. Then came the sanctions. I suspect they are going to get very good very quickly.

And that is a shame, because ...

Definitely eye opening, as they have the #1 recruiting class for 2018 right now. Buuuut they have to deal with Ohio State and Michigan every year though. I'm not freaking out just yet. They are so streaky as a team, too. See Rose Bowl game.

for 2018, Penn State has the #6 ranked dual threat QB, the #2 APB, #1 TE, & #1 WDE, plus their other 6 recruits looks pretty good too. 5 four stars, and 1 five star..
