What a guy... money meant nothing to him, what people thought meant nothing to him.
There was a story in the show about his rookie year with the Card's. Another rookie forgot to bring doughnuts and ended up taped to the goal post. All the older players were yelling and carrying on about "This is what happens" and "No one go get him out". Pat, in front of everyone, grabs the trainer's scissors and goes out and cuts him free and comes right back in.. No one said a word.
