Passing yards per game allowed on defense we are last. Below are the top 10
Some teams on this list are legit. Some are not. 3 played Military Academies, one played two.
Point being, I'm concerned about our passing stats, but I'd be even more concerned if they were that high after playing a lot of the teams on this list.
We played 4 good to very good QBs (and Kaaya may turn out to be great).
We will never know how good a season Hill would have had for BYU, but when healthy he is a proven QB.
Clements of S. Alabama is no slouch. He split time at UAB last year and played well against Mississippi State in 2014.
Kaaya of Miami in 2014 vs Nebraska 28-42 for 359 yards. 25-42 for 379 in 2015. So a lower completion percentage, and 20 more yards compared to last year vs Nebraska. Anxious to see how he does the rest of the year.
Mullins for USM as I mentioned in another thread passed for over 300 vs Miss State this year, which is a much better team than Nebraska IMO.
So with that in mind, here is the top 10 passing yards per game defenses. How many would still be there playing the four teams Nebraska played?
1. Boston College- started the season vs Maine and Howard.
2. San Jose State- got rolled by Air Force who passed for 24 yards. Also Beat New Hampshire.
3. North Carolina- Played NC A&T, Illinois, and Deleware.
4. Florida State- BC, South Florida, Texas State.
5. Michigan-Utah, Oregon State, UNLV, BYU.
6. Uconn- Nova, Army, Mizzou, Navy
7. Eastern Michigan- Old Dominion, Wyoming, Ball State, Army
8. Ohio State- VA Tech, Hawaii, N Ill, Western Michigan
9. Kent State- Illinois, Minnesota, Deleware State, Marshall
10. Northwestern- Sanford, E. ILL, Duke, Ball State.
