Somebody needs to lose their job over that missed call. Dear God. Helen Keller could have seen that.
He did but he didn't. Handled it wellIf Frost says something about it in the post game and gets fined, I'll donate towards paying it off.
He did but he didn't. Handled it well
If I was him I would have said "you know what, I just gave up a million dollars, who cares about another 10 grand..."He did but he didn't. Handled it well
That's what it comes down to. Big Ten protecting its championship game. Didn't want a three-loss team potentially spoiling TV ratings and eliminating any possibility of a team in the CFPO if they upset Ohio State/Michigan.It was a terrible no call but no one outside Nebraska cares because it happened to a three win team.
So I have told my QB's for years (and any player really),Might have helped if Betts would have argued it some and asked for a flag.
I mean...they literally get buzzed to review targeting calls...so...Not a penalty if the refs don’t call it. If we don’t give up an opening KO TD and tackle Allen we win. We fixate on calls when other things lost us the game.
Can we just stop with this. Yes, we had other chances to win the game, but the fact remains that our WR was interfered with on that play. Had he not been, he may have caught it for a TD (or at least a 1st down). If it had been called, we'd have a fresh set of downs. NU fans have every right to be pissed. That terrible non-call could have very well cost us the game. Not a penalty if the refs don’t call it. If we don’t give up an opening KO TD and tackle Allen we win. I think the refs were cold and had seen enough of our games to know that we weren’t going to do anything with that call anyway.Somebody needs to lose their job over that missed call. Dear God. Helen Keller could have seen that.
I see you, and I'm cutting you off in traffic every chance I have.I think the refs were cold and had seen enough of our games to know that we weren’t going to do anything with that call anyway.
That happens when you are the weakling of the division threatening the boss of the division.Phuckin unreal, Big 10 officials in Wisconsin's corner again.
There is no boss, it is a shit divisionThat happens when you are the weakling of the division threatening the boss of the division.
Agreed - likely the shittiest in all divisions - yet Wisconsin lines up and beats most in the shit division while Nebraska loses 3 for every victory they squeak out. There is no boss, it is a shit division
I would understand if this was a one time thing. Remember a few years ago when Jordan Westerkamp got absolutely tackled going out for a 4th down pass in a game we lost in overtime. That was also at the end of the game. The announcers called out the refs on that no-call as well. It’s not the exception, it’s Wisconsin.
First of all I thought with the big exception of 6 or so plays (opening kick-off) the Huskers played pretty darn well. They did not get blown out when they easily could have laid an egg. Was anyone surprised that Wisconsin running back Allen got the ball on the play where he scored his last touchdown? Chryst wasn't going pass at that point. It was going to be a run. Was anyone surprised an O Lineman got a penalty on the Huskers last drive? Was anyone surprised the Big Ten officials did not call pass interference on the last play? Sadly these are the things I've grown accustom to while watching the Huskers play. .Somebody needs to lose their job over that missed call. Dear God. Helen Keller could have seen that.
It was a terrible miss by the officials. I have never bought the notion that officials know (or are in) on who is supposed to win a game so that the conference can get the championship game they want. I just don't believe that's true and if it were, someone would have spilled those beans somewhere along the way. That's what it comes down to. Big Ten protecting its championship game. If Betts woulda tried a little harder to catch the ball and sell the call we mighta got the flag.
It was obvious and should have been called either way but between that play and Oliver Martin's "effort" on one of Martinezes picks, I was a little disappointed in the effort of the WR corps
Some things should sell themselves and a clear DPI is one of them...If Betts woulda tried a little harder to catch the ball and sell the call we mighta got the flag.

That said, I do believe the officiating is terrible at times. I believe it's just human error and people who aren't always good at their jobs....akin to players who make stupid mistakes at the most inopportune times.
My observation is officials are getting worst. I think they do nothing counting on the play to be reviewed in many circumstances. Here is another opinion that won't make be popular. Has anyone ever seen a woman official actually make a call on their own in a FBS or NFL game? Sure they will decisively blow their whistle when a player clearly steps out-of-bounds. Or they will come running down the line of scrimmage and with much authority spot the ball after the play has already been blown dead. I don't think I've ever seen them be the first to indicate a score has been made. I one hundred percent believe women officials are capable of doing their job. I've just never seen them be the first to call a penalty.
The team is 3-8. Who really gives a rats ass about a missed call? That is freaking funny.
I would prefer to see Nebraska win regardless of record. The team is 3-8. Who really gives a rats ass about a missed call? That is freaking funny.
