Pacino to play Joe Pa...

Robert is a doosh who makes great movies. Eastwood also makes great movies and he isn't a doosh.
@rrthusker never said that De Niro doesn't have the right to speak his mind. It's just rrt's opinion that De Niro is a douche that spews diarrhea out of his mouth and looks down on others for not agreeing with him.

Whether that's correct of De Niro or not, that's rrt's opinion that doesn't need to be justified to you, let it go.
Could we not both make the same circular argument that it's my right to speak my mind about RRT and you are now telling me what to think? It's just a stupid argument, when in reality, the people who are bothered by De Niro, likely just disagree with his politics. As my initial post suggested, if De Niro's POV was in line with his, this wouldn't even be a discussion.

You're looking for a fight with RRT (or it comes off that way). I'm out of this convo, continue to argue with RRT.

So did the defendants get together and make a collective decision not to tell law enforcement, or didn't they?

Seems like that's why they're going to jail.

It's not. Dismissed. They plead to misdemeanor EWOC. Which is under appeal in Spanier's case.

So I guess when a juror specifically tells reporters that the key piece of evidence that convicted Spanier was that well-documented email conversation in which he lamented the fact that they might all be culpable for not reporting Sandusky to the proper authorities if Sandusky molested any more children, he/she had it all wrong.

And yes, I know that Little Lord Spanier is appealing his conviction. Why wouldn't he, if the taxpayers of Pennsylvania are going to continue to pay his legal bills? Enjoy making Spanier's attorneys rich, and pretending he didn't enable a serial child molester.

Yes and the foreman said they made a mistake, and he should've been acquitted. Educate yourself before you follow nonsense.

You slobbering Spanier fanboys are amusing. First he's never, ever going to be charged, then he's never, ever going to be convicted, and now he's been wrongfully convicted!

World gone mad, isn't it? You can't even write an email summarizing your well-thought-out decision not to report a child molester to law enforcement without people getting all bent out of shape about it.

But be sure to work extra hard today so you can pay Spanier's salary and legal bills. Too bad those millions couldn't go toward educating some young people in Pennsylvania, instead of filling the coffers of his attorneys.

He will win on appeal, the Judge and OAG tried to apply a retro law change. All Boccabella did was kick the can down the road.

Of course Spanier will win on appeal, the same way he would never, ever be convicted and on the slim, slim chance that he was convicted, he would surely be sentenced only to probation. And if by some crazy miscarriage of justice the conviction stands, I'm sure his personal PR firm has a campaign at the ready that will tell the world of his wrongful incarceration. They can just update the talking points his apologists have been bleating for years now.

I have a bad feeling this movie is an attempt at revisionist history and Paterno sympathizing. This movie is going to be disgusting.

But far worse is enabling the predations of a child molester by protecting the "honor" of your football program.
This is off topic, but I did an internship at Rutgers while I was at Nebraska. You have a great university out there. I enjoyed my short time there.
