Ozigbo.

Guys, they kept blitzing us. It was a matter of time when we guessed it right. The backside blitz was killing us for a while. Then we wore them down more from just being the field so long. OZ was the perfect back for that situation, square the shoulders and run to daylight. Trey would have had a field day with his vision and quickness.

Oz must have done some very bad things because everyone but Mike Riley knows he should have been involved in every game. His absence was even more puzzling than POB's anchor to the bench.

Ameer and Ahman had top flight quickness and speed to help offset their fumbleitis. Devine doesn't quite have that elite talent. He's a very good change of pace back, though. He should definitely get some more series going forward, especially to keep Bryant healthy.

Agreed. Ozigbo deserves some touches, though. Hell, even Riley admitted that "Tre had the knees of a much older man", so why would you NOT want to keep him healthy by spelling him a bit?
IMO, there was something going on there that they don't want to talk about. I suspect some sort of suspension makes the most sense.

I don't know,,, is there something we don't know about Patrick O'Brien as well? At this point I think what's going on is staff stuborness.

Maybe, but there was a noticeable drop off IMO from Lee to POB in the spring game. IMO Gebbia is our real #2 but they don't want to burn his shirt.

If that's the case, do they really think we can get through a season playing 1 guy at QB? That's unrealistic no matter what is transpiring unless they were deluded enough to think we'd be handing out blowouts that POB couldn't possibly screw up. You need a decent #2!

Well we did the same thing last year so I dunno. I think maybe they don't want to get Gebbia killed as skinny as he is and as bad as our O line has been. IMO, Lee started poorly against Oregon and got shook. My hope is that those last possessions this week will build some confidence and get him on track. After seeing Bones come in against TTEch and then Fyfe after TA, I think I'm done calling for a QB change. They're playing Lee because they think at this point in time he's the best we have. I think people underestimate what getting sacked 6 times and knocked down 7 times like he did against NIU does to a QB's confidence.

Totally agree but guess I'm just to the point where I"ve lost my faith in the offensive decisions.

i thought MW ran well too. plenty of carries to go around, esp given our qb situation.
