The coaches lost trust in him in game time situations. Why? Prior to getting hurt, I seem to remember him playing pretty well. Subsequently, I don't remember him ever doing anything in a game that justified a perma-bench due to a loss of trust. Plenty of other guys played that did things every game that would have warranted that kind of reaction and didn't. Granted, we had a lot less depth at many other positions.
