Here are a quotes to think about in the article, "Stall not popular...but dont expect a shot clock"
"I’m guessing not much has changed since, and the fact I haven’t written much about a shot clock in 13 years probably proves it isn’t necessary." - Seems arrogant
"Judging by this year’s state tournament attendance, fans seem to be enjoying the sport more than ever. The three-day attendance was 63,758 — an all-time high." - Does which teams at state or weather have anything to do with that? Im guessing by the number of schools being built that we have more people in the state and kids in school at all time highs.
"The majority of the games — especially after the first round — were competitive. Four of the six finals were settled by five points or less, including one in overtime and another in double overtime." - Shot clock would make games more competitive? Less competitive? Dont understand your thoughts here.
"Let’s just keep the game the way it is....." - Love this mentality!
I wish you had done some research on scoring offense in the last 13 years since you decided to write on the shot clock. I wished you would have talked with coaches that are from other states or travel to other states with the shot clock. Maybe talk with players that have had to transition from our high school game to the college game and the difficulty they face. I wish you would have done some research before chucking out quotes like that. The shot clock is in every college level and in highschools like South Dakota, where your "difficulty implementing" argument is just an excuse. Pepsi or Coke distributors would sponsor with advertising underneath. Technology has made it incredibly easier to put in and run. And the game would be better cause coaches would actually have to coach offense and offensive fundamentals. The games would get easier to officiate with more flow IMO.
