First off, thanks again to everyone for your prayers and support...I can't say that enough. He is out of the hospital and at Madonna for rehab/therapy, and is improving every day. The care he has had at both facilities has been phenomenal. He's able to follow directives (squeeze my hand, thumbs up, wiggle toes, etc) and recognizes people familiar to him. He's even smiling at times as well, and speech therapy has got him swallowing voluntarily. He can move both arms/legs, favors his right side a bit but time will benefit him with that...in short, he's far ahead of even the most optimistic of projections by his doctors. A series of minor miracles if I ever saw any, and no doubt in my mind that your prayers and support have been a big help.

This will probably be the last update for a little while, as the progress has been remarkable but he still has a way to go. The prayers are certainly appreciated so please continue those if you wish!

On a related note...my primary focus has been on his care and recovery and now it's time to shift gears a bit. I'm just now starting to get bills related to his accident and as I'm completely clueless re: dealing with something like this in terms of my options/course of action when dealing with my medical insurance company and/or other insurance companies (the business where the accident took place), medicaid options, etc., I would greatly appreciate any advice that anyone has who has been down this road before. Please private message me if so inclined, I really appreciate that. God bless and thanks to all of y'all.
