OT: Short Term Disabilty

Anybody have Short Term Disability, that doesn't go through their employer?

I have a family member taking a job to work remotely with a small company. Alot more $$, but lacking in some of the bigger company benefits (That might come later'ish) I Was wondering if anyone has a STD policy they're happy with? Like from Mutual of Omaha etc, they could recommend.
