I’m really looking for the perspective of fellow employees on this.

I work for an employer with about 3 employees including him and myself. My fellow scrollers know most of us are “good” people and want to do good by our employer.

I currently earn on average 25-35% lower than the state average for full time leaders, foreman and managers. I have been with my employer over 8 years, and given him my all, including sacrificing family time while working 70 hours per week as a salaried employee.

So here is my question.

If you were to know your employer was spying on my private activities inccluding post on social media about sarcatically being interested in another job, would you address that with the employer or just wait to see if he will provide decent work hours and in increase in pay to get to the average salary for hours worked?

Shall I consider that a threat to my job and just go ahead and seriously look for other work, and if I find it ask for a pay advance, then leave after getting it?

For context, let’s just say the employer isn’t someone you would go all out for if that helps in your answer because they don't show any kind of loyalty back, and are just looking for a reason to fire someone.
