Yesterday there was a pretty good discussion on the FIRST TEAM (SIRIUS 84); the discussion centered around OOC Schedules and when to play them. They brought up how the SEC will schedule some of their easier games near the end of the season, check SEC wk 12 http://secsports.go.com/schedule/football/_/year/2016/type/2/week/12
In a nut-shell, it gives the SEC teams a "break" of sorts before their final wk 13 game; in the sense they can possibly rest some players and most likely add another win to their season and make them more appealing to the Playoff Committee. Whereas other conferences are deep into their conference games and a late season loss as well as an in conference loss hurts the conference and the teams; thus why the SEC may have started scheduling this way. They feel an early in season loss is easier to rebound from, rather than that late season loss; pretty good thinking if you ask me.
Thoughts?
