Any movie where the United States kicks ET's ass works for me. Love watching cocky aliens get their shit pushed by the the USA, who always look outmatched for the first 3/4's of the show... then find a way!!

I liked The Drop, with Thomas Hardy.

“Nobody ever sees you comin’, do they Bob?”
absolutely phenomenal movie.

@PeliniTheCrutch check out these:

The Accountant
The Gentlemen
Wrath of Man
Hummingbird
Brawl in Cell Block 99 (fair warning, way be the most violent movie of all time)
Out of the Furnace

My underestimated hero has to be Jon Moxon, who everyone thought was just a screwball 35 year old high school student, but ended up putting the team on his shoulders, indulging in a whipped cream sundae (with cherries on top), taking the team to visit Miss Davis, inciting a mutiny against coach Kilmer, and then winning the championship.

I'm not sure many of those listed are underestimated though.

How about Melvin, the 98 pound health club janitor that no one could ever guess would become a hero?

If you are going down the Denzel road Man on Fire is tits.
One of my favorite movies.

Hope I'm not spoiling it for anyone but the scene where DW shoves the explosives up the guys butt is hysterical...unless you're the guy with the nuclear suppository up your rectum...ouch!

Aurelio in John Wick:

“Where’d you get that car?”

And then sh!t immediately gets real.
