Very random thread for the Scrolls, but I'm at a loss on this issue.
The house I moved into about a year ago, I've noticed a persistent low frequency noise late at night. Sounds like a low pulsating noise on a continuous loop. I don't really have any neighbors in the vicinity so I've ruled out bass, music, etc.. What's more is that I only hear the noise inside, not outside. I've tried to pinpoint the source but to no avail. I do have a heat pump, and I thought that might be it. But the noise is still there even when I turn the HVAC off. There are utility / power lines running up the house, and I wonder if that's the cause. Lastly, doing some research, I see there's this weird phenomenon known as the 'hum'. Hard for me to believe such a thing exists, but who knows.
Anyone have any thoughts around this - and more specifically, if it's something with the HVAC unit or something else which could be corrected (somewhat easily)...
TIA.
