Last night my 12 year old Havanese was bitten by a rattle snake on my back patio. I had just finished BBQing not 10 feet away. The yard is as snake proof as you can get and yet the bastard found a way in. I got Gryffy to the vet in less than 30 minutes. Was given anti venom x 2. Over night at the vet hospital he developed a further coagulopathy, a brain hemorrhage and cardiac toxicity. This morning I had to put him down. Lots of tears here for a good guy and a good friend
