OT: Las Vegas

I just got back from Vegas two weeks ago. Serious response: Get tickets to the Sphere. Get seats in the farthest back row you can. DO NOT sit up front and DO NOT sit on the sides. Nobody sits there and the seats will be empty. I saw Postcard from Earth and it was amazing. Whatever show you can see, go see. The outside is amazing, the inside is amazing, and the actual show will be amazing. Go to Mandalay Bay and get a drink at the 1912 bar - push the bookcase in and close it behind you. Most people look at the bookcase and just keep walking. After that, go next door to minus5 bar. Wear the coat and gloves they give you.
Fremont Street is worth going to. I like it better than the strip and it's way more affordable. If you are on the strip, tell the cop hookers to go eff off. Grab their spanking tools and throw them as far as you can if you get the chance. F**k handcuffs as well.

Just went last weekend. Stay at the Venetian, 20th floor or higher. Ask for a room facing the Sphere for some really cool free entertainment as it's literally right behind the hotel. If you want to see a show inside of it, it's attached via enclosed walkway. It's also the prettiest hotel in Vegas. Your wife will love it. It's walking distance to everywhere else. Oh, and get the French toast at the Luxe Cafe for breakfast. You'll think you died and gone to heaven.

The newest properties are a little off from the middle of entertainment areas, but Fountainbleu is awesome inside. Great acoustics in their small theater. Resorts world is nice and has an amazing food court. City center probably is the best location. Try Eataly. Red Rock is nice if you want to avoid crowds.

We ate some great food but the limits were ridiculous at the Blackjack tables and that's about the only game I play when I'm there. IF you could find a $20 limit at a Blackjack table, you could never get a chair. I could afford to bet more than that but I don't enjoy it then.
This just about ruins it for me. I like Blackjack but I would never sit at a high limit table. Call me cheap but $20 is a high limit table to me. I could only imagine sitting down on my first hand... splitting 8's... doubling down on both... then the dealer beats me on both hands. A guy would be down $80 before he'd hardly even sat down.

Imma be straight up honest bout that....my wife wanted to do it because she thought it sounded like a great place to read. I said..."I don't read..." So we compromised, and we cancelled the cabin.

Honest question for everyone: Who goes on vacation for a week JUST to read books?

Thought it might be a double entendre, but then you said you don't "read" (if you know what I mean)-- which I know isn't true.
