OT: Jimmy Butler is a True Throwback

and dumb AF to pick up Harden for Simmons.
Even the Brooklyn Nets would disagree with that statement. Harden is on the downside of his career, but at least he's on the court. The Harden trade was the best value that they were offered since the whole Ben fiasco began. Ben held out during training camp. Then developed "mental health issues" after he refused to practice with the Sixers and stopped getting paid. Those "mental health issues" suddenly got better after being traded to Brooklyn and the paychecks started coming in. Then in Brooklyn he needed multiple weeks to get in playing shape. He couldn't play in any games because of a "back injury" which occurred in one of his first workouts back with the Nets. Then Klutch Sports said he was returning for the playoffs, but that was a high pressure situation after the Nets struggled vs. the Celtics so Ben ruled himself out 48 hours before tip off due to a stiff back.

The 76ers deserved that response after the way they treated Simmons. That's what you get when you blame the playoff losses entirely on him and then demand he be traded but don't follow through. The 76ers are a terrible organization and why they haven't come close to a title despite having the talent to do so.

Super smart of him to undergo a Microdiscectomy surgery for a “stiff back” to throw everyone off.

OK, are you going soft oldjar? Nobody on the Sixers blamed Simmons. They repeatedly defended him despite his reluctance to shoot in the 4th quarter and horrible free throw shooting. The fans on the other hand really jumped off the Ben bandwagon after he went so far as passing up a dunk in crunch time of a playoff game & instead passed to a teammate who was then forced to go up against two defenders. Then when Rivers asked if the Sixers could win a title with Ben, Doc said "I don't know". And that was it. Ben went away for the summer like he always does, surrounded by his crew of kiss asses. And within a week or two, Ben's mindset went from apologetic and determined to improve to feeling "disrespected" and wanting nothing to do with the Sixers.

Embiid and some teammates even flew to Cali to talk to Ben. Ben refused to see them. So they left. Later it came out that Ben was insulted that his teammates didn't try harder to meet with him! And it was their asses who flew across the country.

The Sixers accommodated Ben the best they could. Ben refused to come to training camp. Shows up without telling anyone only after his camp realized that he wasn't getting paid to sit. He participated half assed in one practice (if I recall), then on the second day he walked out of a defensive drill never to return. That's when the mental health card was played.

Simmons will never live up to the hype and the talent he has, knowing his shot is faulty.

Even in college he seemed more interested in showing off his potential than winning the game itself.
