OT: Harrah’s casino coming to Nebraska

How is the progress of WarHorse coming along in Lincoln? They are supposed to have a temporary site for slots open by the end of the year.

You obviously have zero clue in how casinos stay in business. It isn't due to the poor people that is for sure. Its the high rollers that keep them going. The people who have private planes and fly in just to gamble. The people that so many of the common folk watch win $1200 jackpots time after time. They dint realize they are playing $50 or more per spin to hit that jackpot that often.

Ive worked in the casino business for 12 years. There is a reason they give free food and rooms to people that play a lot. Bring those winnings back and stay her for free.

Yes the poor are trying to get that big easy payday (it wont happen very often). But these casinos wouldn't be in business without the Doctors and Lawyers and.....FARMERS. they need. Losing 1 high roller is like losing 10,000 bottom card holders. So you dont need to see lots of doctors and lawyers.
Do a lot of high rollers fly in to play in Council Bluffs? What about GI, Columbus, etc?

Don't doubt a single word you typed. Doesn't change the fact that most people (by a wide margin) in those bldgs cannot afford to be there. Get involved with a church or some other group that has a reach into the social issues these places create, instead of focusing on the 2% ers. It's heartbreaking.

Yeah that is not "a fact"

Most people that go to casinos are not degenerates, they do not have gambling problems, they are not spending their new born's formula money, they are not spending the mortgage payment.

The real fact is, most of the people at a casino are you very typical average everyday person that goes there for a night out with their friends and they drop 20-40 dollars.

It would be like saying that it is a fact that most people in a bar have drinking problems and can't afford to be there, simply not true.

I would imagine you don't even want the degenerate bottom feeders at the casino, that is not a business model that works.

You want big fish and you want the people that come in with their friends and they each blow 40-50 dollars and have a good time.

I never knew Omaha had such a shortage of car washes. Seems like about 20 big ones are going up all around town. Would it be the end of the world if we got an epic burger or shake shack?

Absolutely! The guy said casinos survive only on the high rollers. I just don’t see the high rollers keeping the lights on in Columbus and GI. Jmo

It's all relative. There's plenty of big local money here. I watched a regular blow 8k last week at blackjack in an hour at the horseshoe. Didn't seem like a problem for him.

Exactly, the formula works, clearly casinos know what they are doing.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't Sports Betting not included in the Nebraska gaming law that was passed.
Yes there will be sportsbooks but as a compromise there will be no wagering on college events in Nebraska. So no betting on Nebraska home games.

Few years after the boats opened up here a farmer in Louisville got hooked....over a period of two years he depleted his families bank accounts, then started the process for getting a loan(s), using the farm for collateral. The banker he went to also happened to know his wife because everyone in that town knows everyone, and he called her and asked if she was aware of her husbands activities. She was not. She came down to the bank, the banker who tipped her off went over everything, and she almost immediately drove to a lawyers office to file for divorce and to protect what assets they had left because of his gambling addiction. I'm betting the people who run the boats also felt like his losses weren't a problem him "him"...turns out he wiped out his family and destroyed his marriage and kids trust, but it wasn't a problem for him, so it's all good.

Same could be said for bar owners with alcohol and convenience stores that sell cigarettes. Except the financial losses are spent in lawyer fees and medical expenses.

There are always going to be people who are susceptible to addiction. Can’t regulate everything and everyone

Yup. Ever been to a dry county? Somehow people still find the booze.

I understand...and I know this cat is out of the bag.

Weed probably isn't too far behind, would be nice to not be the last state to legalize it.

Many of rhe high rollers come in from small towns. It all boils down to which casino comps them the best or pampers them most. If the rural casinos treat them better they will shut Harrahs and possibly Ameristar down.

Sportsbooks have always helped make the most accurate statistics possible. I trust it. I am sure that for many gamblers, this will be a handy tool because, in online casinos, it is essential to have a strategy to follow.
I use help from https://payperhead.net/how-to-increase-your-bookie-profits-with-online-poker/. It really helps me deal with some of the issues I used to face quite often. Anyway, now my level of professionalism is well worth the help of the sportsbook.

1). I'm fine with casinos and go to them once in awhile

2) It's adorable that people believe that bringing in a casino will lower personal taxes

In fact, I can't understand why gambling is considered so harmful, and governments try to limit it.
If I love gambling, and I enjoy the process, why would they forbid it? It is not a big issue for me since I play online casino games. Online casinos can't be banned, so I have nothing to worry about.
Anyone can play online casino games, and you don't even have to risk your money to start playing. All it takes is to find a reliable casino, like this one: เสือมังกรออนไลน์. Besides being fascinating and exciting, you can get a significant sign-up bonus for free.

Isn't they forbidden this type of gambling? Don't understand this decision at all. But maybe it's some good news. We could top up our budgets (if you are lucky). 'cause I am and sometimes had profited from https://12betno1.com/, so I hope to the same result and in the Harrah's casino. Or you don't think that it's a good idea? I can't hold only one side, so sorry me. I also love online gambling but find their brainchild a bit weird in this situation. And interesting how they got permission to build it?

Because Nebraska voters approved casinos in 2020.
