Now that I am travelling more for work I can get Global Entry or Pre Check and my company will cover the fee. Most of my travel is domestic and I only go through customs once or twice a year. Global Entry seems like more of a hassle to get though. From what I can tell, the nearest enrollment center is at the KC airport and they only do it there a couple days a week. There is a pre check enrollment center 5 minutes from my office and I can get an appointment there in a couple of days. For Global Entry, i read the appointments can be months out and you can't see the schedule until you submit the app and pay the fee. But everything I read online says Global Entry (which includes pre check) is the better way to go.
Basically, I am just asking is it really worth the hassle and possible delay to get Global Entry when I mostly just need pre check?
