Question for you lawncare experts. When's the best time to apply the first fertilizer of the year? I live in KC, and my lawn is mostly kentucky bluegrass and I've overseeded with tall fescue the past two falls. Was thinking of applying a slow release w/ crab grass control after the first mow, which is usually in mid April. Any tips would be helpful. I searched google forever but couldn't find any good sites with advice for my region. Figured there are others on here that could use the info as well.
