The Maine official is required within five working days of responding to the request that was filed. The official reviewed the evidence, which is a matter of public record, and made her finding. States are allowed considerable latitude by the constitution about running elections in article 1 section 4 of the constitution. If that same official received a request about Bidens eligibility she would have to review the evidence within five days and make a finding.The problem is that there's been no adjudication of innocence or guilt, so this state official is using her own judgement of guilt. That's not how it works in this country. Pure politics.
Put another way, there is sufficient evidence that Biden traded political influence for money from foreign powers. High crimes and misdemeanors while in office. Should Biden be removed from state ballots based on supposition?
So what is the problem?
