Where ever my wife tells me to be.
Just watched this heartbreaking doc.

Wow, had almost forgot what an amazing vocalist / lyricist Amy was. What catastrophic waste of incredible talent. Always loved her work. When so much of the charts consisted of mindless hip-hop / pop, Amy was turning out truly original jazz-based masterpieces. Along with her incredibly, sultry voice...with the exception of a couple of covers, she wrote everything she sang.

Such a damn shame that the true musical geniuses (Hendrix, Morrison, Cobain, Joplin, Prince, Winehouse) are all such self destructive souls. Meanwhile, pop trash like Madonna, Perry, &. Bieber, continue to live on, free to pollute the airways with their autotune trash.

Manage to see Miss Winehouse once at the Isle of Wight festival (2008?). She was well on her downward spiral at that time, but still amazing.

If you're a fan of great music, I highly recommend this documentary (watched it on Amazon prime. Sure it's available through other sources)

One of my favorites, a cover of "Valerie" originally done by the English indie band The Zuton

Another great one written by Amy: "Love is a losing game"
