Was wondering if anyone here had cut down a synthetic stock before and have any advice. Bought the 9 year old a 44mag rifle for deer hunting this year and need to take 4" of the stock. My thought is chop it off and fill first part with silicon then the last 4 or 5 inches with epoxy to mount but pad to. Also thinking of taking 1" pvc and filling 1/2 with shot as a shock absorber and don't know if topping it off with oil would help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
