Sure glad we recruited him. Meanwhile, tonight Nebraska looked like the team most project them to be. A bottom tier Big Ten team. Boy was that uglyPatton looking like a lottery pick the past few possessions.

Some people wake up from bed with a chip on their shoulders. Creighton has a huge win over a top 10 team and all people want to do is find a way to cry and moan about players that weren't recruited. Do you know the circumstances of the recruitment? Do you know for a fact that the coaches didn't make an attempt and find out that their heart was set on playing for the better team in the state?
Give Creighton props for the win and focus on the team that Nebraska has. They are young, but they are athletic and I think the future is bright for this team.
Let's see. Creighton beat Wisky @ home, but somehow some made this to be about NU losing. Notice the usual suspects ITT. This is just a vehicle for the latest bitchfest about NU coaches, players, teams, etc.
I see this less about celebrating Creighton's win and more about questioning why some posters use this Creighton win as an opportunity to bash Nebraska. Let Creighton do their thing and not use it as an excuse to rip Nebraska. This is a Nebraska board....no? If you want to celebrate Creighton's win over a Big Ten school by all means head over to their board. Or hell, do so in this thread, I don't care. Discussing Nebrasketball's recruiting(or lack of) of some in state talent is perfectly reasonable. Especially since a major excuse for some in regards to this program is lack of instate talent. Of course, you will do anything to get your feelings hurt though. Is basketball recruiting off limits now? Thanks in advance.

Just a few thoughts about the upcoming matchup. Wisky has a big front line at 6'10", 6'8", and 6'8", gave up 16 offensive boards, and was out rebounded by 15, and still won.
Wisky was hot as hell early for 3 point range, but ended up 11-39 (28.2%). Way too many 3s attempted but could be due their early success so they kept shooting them, but also due to CU's defensive which was very good.
Patton putting the ball on the floor, going under the basket, for a reverse layup...wow. He also showed he will have an impact at the defensive end as a shot blocker. He's going to be a steal for them.
Can Nebraska win? It's basketball sure they could win. The only way I see it happening is Jacobsen and JT have to get 10 points a piece, and that will be no easy task. Creighton always comes out with a great defensive game plan for Nebraska, and if Nebraska has to attempt 39 3s against CU, it will be another long night for the Huskers..
Now do I think Nebraska will win? Until Miles shows he can beat McDermott, it's had to pick against McDermott.
I wouldn't say bashing....I would say questioning as to why we failed to land or even heavily recruit guys like Patton and Thomas. Again, lack of talent instate is brought up over and over again as to why Nebrasketball is a tough job. And it's true....and that's why it makes it even more important when we do have high major talent to make a run at them. Instead, we let Creighton reap the benefits.
This is why I think this year is really important for Nebraska in the recruiment of Ed Chang. If Nebraska is flat out embarrassed by CU this year, it only helps CU in trying to recruit him. I'd expect his offer sheet to incerase this year, so maybe neither get him.
I like Creighton. I root for them to do well. I also root for Nebraska. Hope that's OK!!!
No. That's not ok. Creighton sucks. Even if they win.
Tell ya something even more disgusting, I root for Bill Snyder to!! GASP!!!!
Rumor is Nebraska has backed off Ed Chang. So, I don't expect he will be signing with us unless something changes. Most believe he will go out of state now.
I have no insight here, but from the outside, if you're a D-1 player in state and you have an opportunity to go to a team that makes the NCAA tournament with regularity in a bigger city from a private school vs. going to a team that has been to the NCAA tournament only a handful of times historically and has never won an NCAA tournament game and is usually picked in the bottom three in your conference, is it that surprising that these kids are going to Creighton?
My guess is they probably started recruiting Teddy Allen out of Boys Town a lot harder. Now the chance at either is probably slim to noneWow, I hadn't heard that. I thought he had a decent AAU summer.

Another instate prospect we failed to offer.
He had zero interest in Nebraska, and told that to our staff [Miles included] a year ago before he blew up on the AAU scene. I posted something about this, this past summer, directly from someone involved at the time at Boys Town. Regardless of that fact, I wouldn't consider a transplant "another instate prospect".
The others, major misses. Especially Patton.
I edited it how I meant it to be readTeddy has signed is LOI with WVU. Another instate prospect we failed to offer. I'm not up in arms on that one really though...we only have one more scholarship to give for this class assuming nobody transfers. We had room for Patton and Thomas.
I am not a Creighton fan, but from watching that game last night, Creighton looks like a pretty complete team. They are in a conference that will be challenging and through their Big East deal they will be on a major network like FS1 for the majority of the year. They draw really good crowds and have a solid home court advantage. They will probably be around for a while. I would say unless the wheels come completely off or there is some type of big scandal Coach Mac will be there as long as he wants.
His game probably fits better at WVU anyways.
