I don't mind posting that info here. I'm 33, married, one child from previous relationship (never married) and baby girl due April 30. I work for a membership association, live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

Was raised United Methodist, pretty much never attend church if it's my choice, but I take my daughter to church once a month because her mother is bigtime into church. I'm into sort of a "blended" philosophy, I've had exposure to yoga, meditation, I studied Transpersonal Psychology at UNL. I find spiritual teachers like Eckhart Tolle very interesting. I listen to "The Power of Now" somewhat frequently.

Coincidentally enough, my daughter attends Christian school, she just turned six. I'd rather she went to a public school, but not really the point. I was talking in the car with her about all these dogmatic phrases she was parroting to me. I explained to her what it means, the idea that Jesus died on the cross to save people from sin. Why that wasn't some magic spell or some secret password that you say and *poof* you go to heaven. That the point was if he had renounced his faith and basically said he was a big liar, he wouldn't have been put to death.
