Hey all, me and a couple buddies are taking a canoe trip in Canada next week and I was hoping for a little advice from some experienced canoers.
We have 2 routes planned to get to our camp, and #1 goal is to get there in 1 day.
Route A is 16 miles of Canoing and then about a 1500 foot portage and the route that's already established and cleared and other people travel somewhat regularly.
Route B is 10 miles and off the path, it's about a 2 mile row then a series of 200ft-400ft walks then 1200-1500ft of paddling.
We're just not sure how sketchy going off the established path would be.
Any advice is much appreciated!
