My wife and I went down to Fredericksburg, Texas for the past few days with some friends and did some wine tasting. It was a great time. Highly recommend if you like wine or Texas Country music. Went to Luckenbach for an afternoon as well. It was hot as hell obviously but still fun.
I grew up in East Texas and I didn't realize how many wineries there were down in the hill country. There's a 30 mile stretch between Austin and Fredericksburg that is just winery after winery.
Would be a really fun trip in the spring or fall when it's cooler.
