Long shot here. I have been having problems with my 1988 3.0 mercruiser. Starts fine and runs good. When it gets hot it has a hard time starting. I have to give full throttle and wait about five seconds before it starts I took it to a marina and they said they could not get it to act up, they did say that it needed new plugs, wires, and distributor cap. Still acts the same way in water after changing everything . I tuned carb according to the manual, and I will have to make the last adjustments in the water to make sure that it is adjusted properly. If this does not work, anyone else have any ideas? The mechanic did say that the carb had been rebuilt once before. The carb looks fine , and is pretty clean. TIA.
