I have a maple tree that I noticed has some split bark at the base of the tree as well as a big split going up the tree. Tree is only 10 years old (I believe). Didn't know if there was anything that needs to be done. How much would it cost for an arborsits come look the tree over?

Make some calls, it was free to have my trees looked at. The solution will likely cost you, but generally the opinion is free.

Is the spit on the south side of the tree? If it is, it's probably frost crack... Wont kill it, just makes it ugly if the sap is not running out.

If the spit is a wide, it could have been damaged in transit to your house if it was a sizable tree when installed. Can you peel the bark off tree where the damage is? If so, do so and clean the dirt and insects out of the area. If it is fairly wide with a ridge all along the split area, call an arborist to see if it can be saved from further damage. This can be serious because the cambium layer has been damaged and can not regenerate new tissue itself.

When I hear the word "big split" I get nervous. That tree is damaged and will never again be as strong as it once was. Year by year it will get weaker and root system will also suffer.

If it's only ten years old, get it replaced.
