Long story long… was down in Puerto, Escondido Mexico (about 200 miles north of the Guatemala border), attempting to bail my black-sheep of a brother out of a Mexican jail.
After a long day, was patronized a small bodega close to my hotel. Was looking for some tequila to ease my stress…an old Mexican local saw me perusing the tequila selection, approached me, and proceeded to inform me in broken english (unsolicited might I add), that Patron was trash, and this was the local, high-end, “go to” tequila… half the price & far superior…
He was not wrong.…
