Currently my Ex and I are going through some therapy sessions with my daughter's therapist who is a Dr of Psychology. Addressing some issues we are both seeing with her and ADHD is a possibility for my daughter. When I mention my daughter benefiting from possibly going to a Psychiatrist to get a diagnosis as to whether or not she has ADHD I received a huge scowl from her Dr. And an even bigger pissed off look when I mentioned medication as a possibility if she is ADHD. Do Psychologists frown upon prescription medicine as a treatment for ADHD? Do they have differing ideas of ADHD and how to treat it? We were instructed by her Dr to send her to a Dr (Psychologist) to have her tested for ADHD. Anyone have any experience with this? TIA
