I guess the Permian Basin wins out over Nike.Texass spent 22M
A&M is not in the playoff.I guess the Permian Basin wins out over Nike.
That is kind of the problem making college football like the NFL.Most fans still view the NFL differently than college teams even though that will probably change.
When they decided to give the highest 4 conference championships byes that screwed the seedings up, Ohio State should have been no lower than 6th in which they were in the final AP and coach’s polls.Nobody - absolutely nobody - wants to play them. #8 seed my ass !
I’ve listened to multiple NFL analysts who were NFL players, complain about the way the NFL does it. Seems odd that some would want a similar system to the NFL.When they decided to give the highest 4 conference championships byes that screwed the seedings up, Ohio State should have been no lower than 6th in which they were in the final AP and coach’s polls.
You can use this take this time but next year moving forward Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are now B1G teams..I would say hopefully this bowl/playoff season dries up all the “B1G sucks” morons, but even a dominate national title win didn’t do that.
The PAC 12 team shit the bed when it mattered, again.
Yeah, everybody is making a big deal of the OSU $20 million NIL stuff, but teams like Oregon, Texas and a few others dwarf that figure. The 2 Texas QBs are pulling down around $9 to 10 million togetherTexass spent 22M
Oregon is a supercharged version of Colorado.I would say hopefully this bowl/playoff season dries up all the “B1G sucks” morons, but even a dominate national title win didn’t do that.

I get that they’ll be recruiting a little more in the B1G footprint now, but I can’t help but view the west coast football culture as being notably weaker than other parts of the country for awhile, especially after Covid which is why we may see it get worse yet.You can use this take this time but next year moving forward Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are now B1G teams..
They were the most B1G-ready power team. They made it through a decent conference schedule as the best team but they are always the bridesmaid which is why I knew they’d lose in the playoffs. I had a feeling they would be matched up with OSU again for ratings and was glad when I saw the bracket because I knew OSU would win this time, just didn’t see it going that badly.Oregon is a supercharged version of Colorado.
When Colorado is playing lesser competition, they frequently crush their opponents (see Utah & Oklahoma State). When they're playing someone who doesn't respect their athletes or fall into their gameplan, they frequently collapse.
Similarly, when Oregon is punched in the mouth, they collectively crumble and get themselves into nailbiters.
They're not built to trade body blows, they're built to go up by 2 scores quick and force you to play keep up all game.
Opposite for me. Texas players are often maxed out and have been evaluated heavily for years. We've gone over the list for NU players and Cali holds up to Texas, if not better.I get that they’ll be recruiting a little more in the B1G footprint now, but I can’t help but view the west coast football culture as being notably weaker than other parts of the country for awhile, especially after Covid which is why we may see it get worse yet.
They’ll always kind of be the “B1G west coast” to me and I would generally still take a Texas HS player over a Cali HS player any day.
It's garbage and as soon as ESPN is done with it ratings will be sunk.Totally disagree. The 12 team Playoff now gives teams with one bad game or mis step another chance. It's not the popularity contest it used to be. It's put up or shut up where the NC team now has to win 4 games to hoist the trophy. Love it
