Ohio State probably wins if the refs made the correct call on michigan's TD that was an interception.
Correct call- McCord is a hero.
Bad call-- McCord is a bum.

Bad call-- McCord is a bum.
They also warned lsu fans about burrow so maybe lightning can strike twice?
Bucks fans need to look at coaches over QB. Michigan now owns them and Mccord is the scape goat. Which is weird. Since meat chicken has now won 3 straight.
Wouldn't have listened. We already knew what Ewers brought to the table. Unfortunately, Herman blew his initial recruitment.Probably warned Texas fans about Ewers too…
Sadly, even with all of that, he would still be a significant upgrade to what we've seen in Lincoln for a while. As an OSU fan I hope Nebraska lands McCord so you can see the truth.
McCord looks like an NFL QB on about 20% of his throws. Then you watch the other 80% and you wonder how he even has a scholarship.
Locks onto WR presnap and doesn't read the route tree so it's either that WR or check down when WRs were running open for easy TDs.
Fans called him Checkdown Mccord until Gus Johnson started calling Marvin Harrison Maserati Marv, then he got the Honda Mccord nickname, which IMO is an insult to a fine automobile made in the Columbus area.
Statue like mobility
No competitive fire
Didn't improve at all from game 1 to game 12
He is lucky he was throwing to a bunch of NFL WRs and got balled out by the RBs to beat ND, Wisconsin & Penn St.
Any thoughts on the lack of portal entries for Nebraska. I'd heard that they set the NIL deals up.so all the players were getting paid and were satisfied.Well, we need that talent. Will find out how serious we are about athletes of this caliber playing for us, and will find out very quickly.
Just saw that yesterday, Miami.

On3 Predicts Ohio State Buckeyes QB Kyle McCord Will Transfer to Miami Hurricanes
Kyle McCord could be a good fit with the Miami Hurricanes as they look to replace Tyler Van Duke, whom announced his intention to transfer earlier this month.www.si.com
Have zero idea what the Dept is gonna do with the funds they may or may not have access to. I’m encouraged that were Allegedly talking to portal Mercenaries, but will believe it when they sign.
We’ll need to do a LOT if it’s gonna make a blip on the screen next season. We whiff again like last offseason and it’ll be worse. There’s not 5 wins on next year’s schedule without a big (BIG) improvement. We all saw that, and we can all see next year’s schedule.
We don’t have the $ to put up Texas’ payroll. But we CAN compete in our conference, if we CHOOSE to.
My thought is it is premature to make the assumption that there won't be more Nebraska players hitting the portal. Don't forget there might also be an exodus in the Spring.Any thoughts on the lack of portal entries for Nebraska. I'd heard that they set the NIL deals up.so all the players were getting paid and were satisfied.
Yes, the air raid offense would play real well in Lincoln and the Big Ten. They’re gonna have to adjust to us!I'd like to get cam for short term and leavitt for longer term, then put hh at another position...and maybe replace satterfeild with dana holgerson..he has alot of qb and wr experience and could help rhule recruit texas..
So it works in KC but not Lincoln? Works in Columbus, Ohio but not Lincoln? Hasn't seemed to stop any of these passing teams when they come to Lincoln. I think Fields completed his first 20 passes against us. The Lincoln weather and a Big 10 defense didn't seem to bother him.Yes, the air raid offense would play real well in Lincoln and the Big Ten. Yeah, it's a little odd, gonna need quite a few more to hit the portal to make room for incoming players.Any thoughts on the lack of portal entries for Nebraska. I'd heard that they set the NIL deals up.so all the players were getting paid and were satisfied.
Agreed. And not just air raid. A lot of schemes work when you have elite athletes and competent coaching vs. teams that only have one or neither of these! So it works in KC but not Lincoln? I'm not familiar with high school football in Kansas City or Columbus, Ohio. I doubt that you are saying that Andy Reid or Ryan Day are running Hal Mumme's offense. So it works in KC but not Lincoln? Oops. My bad. I misinterpreted your post as saying McCord and more passing centric wouldn't work in Lincoln.I'm not familiar with high school football in Kansas City or Columbus, Ohio. I doubt that you are saying that Andy Reid or Ryan Day are running Hal Mumme's offense.
Kansas, Iowa St, OK, OK st have had passing offenses and did fine. But ideally we'd have a 55+% run/pass ratio. So it works in KC but not Lincoln? Works in Columbus, Ohio but not Lincoln? No problem. I agree that a team that passes more than it runs the ball could work great in Lincoln. Ideally, I'd like to have a team that can attack on the ground or through the air based on what the defense is showing you.Oops. My bad. I misinterpreted your post as saying McCord and more passing centric wouldn't work in Lincoln.
I’d still take that as a positive. Not having the Scott Frost starter exodus. If you are leaving in spring it’s most likely do to playing time, not unhappy with the culture. My thought is it is premature to make the assumption that there won't be more Nebraska players hitting the portal. The majority of departures from most schools are due to playing time.I’d still take that as a positive. Not having the Scott Frost starter exodus. If you are leaving in spring it’s most likely do to playing time, not unhappy with the culture.
Hmmmm. Ints should fit in well.
Interesting. The grass is always greener
Great edit!
These subpar players/coaches have ruined a lot of Saturdays collectively across the last 20 years...I seem to remember the guy being a solid poster awhile back. I guess after as terrible as we have been the last decade, some guys feel betrayed and disillusioned with the whole thing. Unfortunately it's probably a lot more common in this fanbase than we'd like to admit.
Might have made it too cushy. There's really no reason to overpay the bottom half of the roster. I'm sure with the collective you can separate it by group, so I'd do $10,000 base, then up that to $20,000 for preferred walk ons and $50,000 for starters. That takes care of everybody. There's really no reason to pay more than that unless the player is actually worth more.Any thoughts on the lack of portal entries for Nebraska. I'd heard that they set the NIL deals up.so all the players were getting paid and were satisfied.
It’s a mathematical must. And we will some that we would rather not.My thought is it is premature to make the assumption that there won't be more Nebraska players hitting the portal. Don't forget there might also be an exodus in the Spring.
IF you’re on the cut line but getting school paid for plus getting a check it’s probably prudent to stay through spring to see where you end up on the depth chart.Yeah, it's a little odd, gonna need quite a few more to hit the portal to make room for incoming players.
Maybe it speaks to what Rhule is doing for the players.Yeah, it's a little odd, gonna need quite a few more to hit the portal to make room for incoming players.
The bottom half of the roster on scholarship are almost all young developmental guys that you would like to see go through spring ball.Might have made it too cushy. This is when I think the majority of it will happen.Don't forget there might also be an exodus in the Spring

I've heard the base is north of $10k which is really too much.It must be better than some people around here say it is.
Is it? Seems like a terrific selling point.I've heard the base is north of $10k which is really too much.
It absolutely is. The one issue might be some players thinking they might be worth more than they’re getting. That’s a normal phenomena in any job. In theory they’re not supposed to interview for other spots before they opt for the portal so some guys are going to find out they had a pretty good deal after they come out.It must be better than some people around here say it is.
It’s one way to keep the talented young guys on the roster. You can still tell guys you don’t want that the gravy train is over and they need to find a new spot. That does sound high but I don’t have a problem with it.I've heard the base is north of $10k which is really too much.
Every year at this time fans are wringing their hands that we're too far over the scholarship limit. But somehow it always seems to work itself out by the time Fall camp arrives. Attrition happens. It’s a mathematical must. And we will some that we would rather not.
Well, nothing they may or not be getting paid would explain the lack of talent on the team.Any thoughts on the lack of portal entries for Nebraska. I'd heard that they set the NIL deals up.so all the players were getting paid and were satisfied.
We’ve always lost 10-14 guys every year it seems since I started paying attention to that.Every year at this time fans are wringing their hands that we're too far over the scholarship limit. But somehow it always seems to work itself out by the time Fall camp arrives. Attrition happens.
My position is $10,000 is perfect and it is a terrific selling point considering a lot of these guys's NIL value is effectively zero. I think the base is for everyone on the roster, not just those on scholarship. You overpay for a base though and things might be getting a little too cushy...Is it? Seems like a terrific selling point.
If a young guy is truly talented enough, his NIL value will be significantly north of $10k, and I'm sure we would try to compensate his full value. This is for the high 4 star and 5 star immediate impact type players though, not the developmental 3 star and 4 star types. Developmental type players have very low NIL value. It’s one way to keep the talented young guys on the roster. You can still tell guys you don’t want that the gravy train is over and they need to find a new spot. That does sound high but I don’t have a problem with it.
So much for not having the money to pay players.
you are allowed to throw it to the same colored jersey?
