Opinions if K Dub is only one retained?

We have no WR depth because of Williams. Our receivers don’t catch well and run bad routes. That’s why they get no separation.

I agree that Williams is part of the problem with depth. He got duped by a couple of recruits and didn’t have a sufficient backup plan. But McQuitty and his son getting injured and KJJ having to head home isn’t on him. If three of the six top players don’t get hurt/leave the team, depth looks a hell of a lot better.

Morgan breaks a receiving record that stood for decades that was held by a Heisman winner and Spielman broke Freshman record. But yeah, they suck.

I disagree with this. I think his WRs blocked pretty well. Especially if you look at the blocking since he got here. There were several threads in his first season about improved WR blocking.

The run game sucked because of Cav and the o-line, not the WRs.
Is that you FORMER coach Williams?

If your JD or Lindsey (sp?) and watch UCF play you would have to be praying that offense comes here. Their careers will be much better by staying and playing under Frost than transferring.

If kids want to transfer I understand but we did not just fire a coach who was winning. These kids want to win more than we do, they also understand Riley wasn't getting it done.

They may have liked Riley but not because they felt he or most of staff were putting them in a position to win and show their talents properly

I’m pumped to see JD, Tyjon, and Stanley in a wide open offense. Sucks that DPE won’t be around for it.

Williams can clearly coach. Two record setting WRs this year and NFL players swear by him. The OC is responsible for crafting a good game plan with the talent he has. Watch what Coach Dub’s WRs do if Frost calls plays compared to Langsdorf.

Why so we can continue to have receivers run too short of routes on third and fourth down?
Well I think the last ones who did that were actually a running back. That said, I can't imagine Frost wanting to have to teach a WR his offense as well as all of our WRs. Bring a guy in who knows the offense if you can. I really think it's a screw up if they don't find a job for Kenny Wilhite in the recruiting staff.

He had two receivers have record breaking seasons, recruited at a high level and is passionate about coaching. He’s a good coach.

Some of the worst receiving I have seen in many years. Dropped balls, poor routes, poor separation and 4 yard routes when 5 needed. The fact there were a lot of yards receiving is more a result of passes thrown.

I've done a 180 on coach Williams throughout the season. Our receivers were playing lights out in the 2nd half of the season and look very well coached. I hope he's retained next year.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the when the head coach gets fired, the assistants remain with the school and are left for the new coach to decide what to do with them?

I kind of thought that to be the case, since all assistants and support staff are under contract and still being paid by the university. You do your thing until you are told to stop. So, it all depends on what the boss (AD) tells u to do. In the interm it is very important that the student athletes continue to have guidance particularly with no bowl practices. It has become readily apparent through out the season that we were something other than the dominating team on the field in most every game. If nothing else, this team needs to add strength. I had someone ask me today if Nebraska had a weight room. Now that's embarrassing

Fake news

Where did u hear that? Lamar Jackson, iffy. Possible, generally the new HC makes that decision.
Moos, on BTN, SAID all assistant coaches tied to HC Rileys contract, all axcept Bray, released. New HC will have the option to hire who ever. Will retain a couple in support staff and a couple in recruiting staff.

which doesn't prevent a new coach from keeping any of them if he wants them. I would suspect some of them to will re-apply. Sounds like Wilhite is safe for now.

If course Wilhite is safe. He has been pimping Scott and his program since before the 1st game this year
