Nebraska Football: Observations from open practice 4-8-25
Nebraska held its second open period of practice for media members today. Here are observations.
Back away slowly from the Kool-Aid cart. Excessive consumption of Kool-Aid at this time of year can lead to clinical depression and suicidal thoughts later.Changed my seaaon win total prediction to undefeated.
We didn’t see any special teams work in the time we were at practice. In fact, we saw Ekeler walking into practice as we were getting out, if they worked special teams today it was after they closed practice to mediaSpecial teams??
I can smell the sweaty shoulder pads through my phone😮

16 I believe. 16 is a big dudeWhat number is the kid from Purdue?
Changed my seaaon win total prediction to undefeated.
There has been daily special teams work this spring, or at least there had been.Special teams??
Haarberg gave the only interview about Satt (absolute loser) that matters in the ‘23 offseason, in which he stated his supposed QB coach never worked on technique with him for a single second all yearKong is going to be pissed when he hears his boy HH is a huge fan of Satterfield and was talking him up, saying he was busting his ass as an OC the last 2 years and that he would go to battle with Satt.

Can’t believe that inbred is still on staff.
We are not as smart as his wife & kids who got the hell away from him 2 years ago.
Undefeated offseason- yes!!Changed my seaaon win total prediction to undefeated.
I'll overreact here and say that it was a stupid idea to open up practice and not think to even do special teams. Our special teams play has been "amateur hour" with elements of special teams play that looks as if they aren't even practicing it. Let's face it-- if every FG and punt team member and their coach would get a million bucks at the end of the season if we didn't have any blocked kicks, does anyone think they would have allowed a kick to be blocked? Let alone 10! They didn't practice sh-t last year and it would be nice to see that they are at least putting in time on it this year.We didn’t see any special teams work in the time we were at practice. Apparently Satt is an inbred and (checks notes) Donnie Raiola, Holgerson, Haarberg and of course Rhule are all bamboozled, or perhaps looking the other as this weakling of the coaching community continues in Lincoln.Kong is going to be pissed when he hears his boy HH is a huge fan of Satterfield and was talking him up, saying he was busting his ass as an OC the last 2 years and that he would go to battle with Satt.

Like the coach is going to adjust his practice schedule around a 20 minute media availability session, just to make sure the special teams get seen. 65 yard sprint by the kicking team. Punt returners are catching balls kicked high.I'll overreact here and say that it was a stupid idea to open up practice and not think to even do special teams. it was a great interview by HH, but what else is he supposed to say? he and Satt were trying everything to get wins in '23.. he and Satt had to get close, and he admires him for his work ethic that he put in.. nothing wrong with that, but if you aren't cutting it, they still had to bring someone else in.Apparently Satt is an inbred and (checks notes) Donnie Raiola, Holgerson, Haarberg and of course Rhule are all bamboozled, or perhaps looking the other as this weakling of the coaching community continues in Lincoln.
I thought that open practice meant that they watched the entire practice and not 20 minutes. I'll admit that I'm not paying any attention to spring football. Having them only watch 20 minutes here and there sounds more on point as everyone gears up for... checking my notes.... the alumni spring skill challenge and women's intramural flag football game.Like the coach is going to adjust his practice schedule around a 20 minute media availability session, just to make sure the special teams get seen. 65 yard sprint by the kicking team. I like how Marcos can spin it and is a big body. He's the one to watch if Dylan can't up his game imo.
Well in the video I didn’t see a second rep where the team was practicing handoffs, so that must mean Air Raid Holgorsen is back and Nebraska will have no run game this season. Or maybe I’m overreacting.I'll overreact here and say that it was a stupid idea to open up practice and not think to even do special teams. Said every opposing coachWould have been nice to see him in a Spring game.

Glad you had time to watch the video. I was reacting to an article.Well in the video I didn’t see a second rep where the team was practicing handoffs, so that must mean Air Raid Holgorsen is back and Nebraska will have no run game this season. Or maybe I’m overreacting.
Most unified team I’ve ever seen.
But are they puking? Most unified team I’ve ever seen.
Rhule likes his mat drills and I suspect there may have been some upchucking there, but I don't see him as a puking being a badge of honor kind of guy.But are they puking?
