In all seriousness, I HOPE Tommy forgets everything he "learned" and heard from the entire Bo regime and 100% buys into what Riley and DL can do for him and his future. Im pretty sure it's too late to turn him into an NFL QB but they can turn him into a really good college football qb and that alone will take him places in life the avg. Joe cannot go.

Dear Tommy,

You Suck. Ok, now that is out of the way, let's get on with it.

You have the potential to do something great. You're going to be a Junior this fall, and it's time to get serious..

I am a firm believer that this college game is one of juniors and seniors.

In our history, we have had a shit load of great backs and quarterbacks, playmakers, and I want you to be a part of it, to make your mark..

I don't want you to worry about failure, I want you to worry more about success..

You got a new sheet of paper to write on man.. Tune everything else out.. make it yours..

This is your time..

Best wishes,

NikkiSixx

If he sucks then so do several others on offense.

I've been extremely critical of TA, and I know my friends are tired of hearing about it. I'm really going to get behind him this year. He's a great leader, and we have some real weapons on offense. DPE, Westy, Carter, and a healthy Turner...yes please. I think they will help him rise, and I have no problem putting full trust in MR and DL. Especially after watching some (or a ton:-/) of Oregon State QB highlights. Let's get this party started.

I'll take this stat line every week. He's struggled but the last game he played was sans Bo and against a decent D (top 50 scoring).

As for your post....I'll chalk it up to being late ? Drinking? Heat? Bored? It's July? Take your pick but it didn't come across as being all that supportive the first time through.

I actually felt like everything about it was good except the opening. The rest was meant to be encouraging, and I think, hit that tone, for the most part.

Even the practice and warm ups, are going to improve his progressions; all the better if he starts to know more of the field from his pre-snap routine; before he looks again during the play ( See's the field ). He has so many talents. Bush and Darlington seem to be making a leap, others maybe edge it out - but TA can take it and run with it. Our real qb corp; as a strong and aggressive group, imo; Will be Spring of 17, the recruits will really be coming on and we will be talented and deep.

Problem is the opening was "you suck". Hard to rebound from that statment to being encouraging no matter how many lines of good stuff follows.

the you suck part was meant to mean, stay humble. I shouldn't have to write this

It meant, don't get a big head.. you haven't done anything yet.. to a person who has high goals, they would view that as humbling statement, not a derogatory one.

How the rest of you view it, is beyond my control.

Huddles and precision route running have to be a big help. Practice, practice, practice, get the routine to be lower brain function so not having to think about what to do next. I see TA as getting better.

Everything I've seen of TA points to him being an exceptional person, and I hope he succeeds.

Good Post. I think all of us that watch a lot of football know that there was something terribly wrong the last few years in terms of teaching the offensive system. I don't want to turn this into another "bash Beck" thread, but it is what it is. And if Beck were still OC, next year could've been the disastrous one. We've all been watching, we knew if was going to come eventually. When it's 10 games in and TA is still telling receivers they are in the wrong place, that's a problem. BUT they all respected TA, and I didn't see any bad body language back. (What I could see on TV). He was practically a player-coach out there last year. Now we have MR and DL. My hope is that Tommy can focus on his reads, while an effective TEACHER installs the system. I'm pumped man. I really am. I think we're going to shock some people. Let them talk about OSU, Mich, and MSU all they want. NU is hungry, and this team has the talent to shine.

Seems this staff gets the concept of doing a few things very well, as opposed to being average at many things. Great approach.

Well...even though I think Zig Zigler's job is safe, I understand effing up late night.

Let's just hope he doesn't have to worry about the snap on every play. That would be a great start.
