Announcers stated that reciever Jaylin, player of the year in Alabama, decided on Clemson over Alabama, was continuity of the coaching staff. Alabama has been a revolving door of coaches.

Thinking back to Osborne, that was true too. Vendable makes $2M plus as a defensive coordinator and earned every penny last night. Oklahoma hasn’t had a defense since he left.

I for one support Frost to maintain all of his coaches to build his desired program.

This is where the limits of 2019 come into play much more than the past. You HAVE to have great coaches/teachers/recruiters in one coach now because of the time limits with kids and the scholarships available. Kids can only practice a certain amount with paid coaches, and can only be in meetings a certain amount, and coaches only have a certain amount of time to recruit. A coach who is driving around Lincoln drunk might be able to recruit, might be able to run practice, but cna he put together consistent lessons for meetings, can he give kids the right mental perspective in the short time he spends with them in a 1 on 1 setting? There are few great coordinators...most are overwhelmed and poor at one of the three big things...frost is going to have to make some tough decisions going forward because time constraints, lack of superior talent is going to force us to have an elite staff in order to be playing in january.

Can you find me the link to these new rules for 2019 that lessened the amount of time coaches can spend with players?

The last rule change I am aware of, when it comes to position coach contact was in like 2014, when they began to allow position coaches to work with players 8 hours a week during the summer.
