Will be heading up to Lincoln for a buddy’s birthday. Where’s the best places to eat and what do I need to try???? I haven’t been there since we played y’all last in like 2008 or something like that so I’m sure it’s changed quite a bit.

PS, thanks for Zane Flores 😉

You should check if there’s a home baseball series. Lot of bars and restaurants within a short walk of Haymarket Park.

Oklahoma State now isn’t the Oklahoma State you were playing back in the day to be fair haha. T Boone and Gundy set us up pretty well
Really wish you guys would run the table one year. Gundy always seems to come up just short.

Yea I know. Two years ago we went 12-2 and was about an inch from the playoff in that B12 champ game against Baylor. Our best team was right after y’all left in 2011 tho. 12-1, beat OU by 40, and should’ve played for the natty but we got screwed by the BCS. Although I’ll fully admit I’m biased. You all hired a great coach. Rhule is gonna turn it around.

Must be nice
We’ve gotten spoiled no doubt. The standard here has raised so much in the last 15 years. 8 wins is just “meh” at this point. Our fan base has gotten to where they expect 10 wins or its just an “ok” year. No clue what happens once Gundy leaves. But the university has showed they can pony up the money paying Gundy over 8 million and poaching Derek Mason from Auburn for example. We’ll see. I know how quick it can turn.

Not true. Youve been pretty much the same team the whole time minus a few years. There were eight nine and ten win-teams in the 70s and 80s as well when it was tougher to do so.

the only thing gundy and t boone have done is get rid of what was once perhaps the best uniforms in all of college football. Nice job.

I’ve lived it. OSU was forever changed by Gundy and Pickens. Gundy has had 7 ten win seasons in the last twelve years. OSU was a doormat in the 70’s and 80’s except for a couple years with Barry and Thurman. Between 1970-2000 we only had 3 ten win seasons. We’ve doubled that and more from 2010-2021. Being in the Big 12 helped us cause we got access to Texas in recruiting that we didn’t have before. We are at a different level now than we ever were then.

The Barry Sanders era uniforms were incredible. I agree with you there. I think we are bringing them back here soon. There’s been hints of it anyway. Hopefully it happens.

Technically Les Miles was the one who set Oklahoma State up for success. Gundy just continued the work that Les Miles started.

They are elite. No doubt.
What are your thoughts about ou and TU moving to the SEC? They basically screwed the big 12 imo. And yes I’m one of those who hates the big 10 but its way more stable than the big 12 was at the time we left and still is

When all the conference realignment is said and done, there will only be the Power 2, the SEC and the B1G. The other conferences will be pretty much irrelevant.

My thoughts are, OU, Texas, and Nebraska should have agreed to a conference wide network that Kevin Weiberg wanted to make and none of this would have ever happened. The Big 12 would be sitting where the B1G and SEC are now had that been agreed to.

As far as OU/UT, they 100% screwed us. It’s been somewhat exhausting in the state of Oklahoma because there is so much bad blood between OSU and OU now. Our presidents hate each other. There is no collaboration. We told them we will not play them and that they can kick rocks. There will be a 3rd super conference and it will probably be the Big 12 with the leftovers from the PAC and ACC. Won’t be on the level of the B1G and SEC financially but it will be competitive enough and viable

I think eventually these conferences will all blow up and we will start all over some day. Like Missouri for example, when do they say enough is enough and that just cashing checks isn’t good enough. We know they will never be competitive and that’s a sad reality for them. Either a CFB super league will form with the best of the SEC/B1G or the current conference model will blow up. That’s my opinion.

The Big 12 will become the new AAC.
When the B1G snatches up Oregon and Washington, and the SEC takes Clemson, Florida State, etc. The schools leftover in the PAC and ACC will have no where to go. You’re seeing it now with Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Arizona St maybe heading to the Big 12. You can call it the AAC but it’s going to be filled with a bunch of P5 programs who have competed at high levels before. There just won’t be any blue bloods in it.

The ACC isn't going anywhere for probably at least another 10 years due to their grant of rights. As for the PAC 12, a lot of whether or not they survive depends on the TV deal that they are able to negotiate. If it is on par with the Big 12 TV deal, most likely the PAC 12 will stay together.

I agree with all of that. My point is that even if the PAC12 saves itself this time around, eventually Oregon and Washington are going to leave and that league will be done for. A deal this time is just kicking the can down the road and a bandage.

Depends on whether or not the B1G is interested in having Oregon and Washington join. I know they applied for membership in the B1G shortly after USC and UCLA joined but they didn't get invited.

Seriously ? I saw every OSU game in 1979-91 and you have no Thurman, Hart Lee or players of that ilk
