@brnred1989 - $35 million over 7 years from wife's uncle, who is a very high up VP

@BigCL24 - $5 million / year from information inline with other posters

@Husker Nsider - $5.2 million over 6 years

@RS SKER - Just hearing its a done deal and on Dec 3rd SF will be named HC from people within AD

@flexcon - $26 million over 6 years from a guy who ran the regents a few years ago

@4HisGlory1 - Players summoned, Riley gone from a "friend"

I'm adding this one, just in case.
@burmano - Chris Peterson - $6 million / year for 5 years from deep pockets and connections into the AD.

@MikelSevere Leak? It's a done deal. From "I'll take random crap found on Twitter for $1,000, Alex."

@KG Corn - $5+million for 7 years. Heard it from a friend, who played in the 90s, who heard it from a friend, who is friends with future HCSF.

@EricNScottsdale - $31.5 million over 6 years, keeping J. Parrella and the Dubsters. From an 'UNL Regent' aka voices in my head.

@bbarry464 - You know who, on Dec 4th. From the 'take that one to the bank files'.

@huskerpete8 - Getting drunk with the Championship's Club.

@trptplyr - I don't believe it, but here is his scoop... Frost won't take FL or Tenn job. Bo was great for PR, so Frost doesn't want to be treated like Bo.

@LarsAnderson71 - 7 years, $35 million is oh so close.

@Cougar Coach - 7 years, $35 million. SF was NOT first choice. Riley staying in AD. tMB scoop.

@GloryDaysDude aka not @Juan Dixon- "Frost is a lock", confirmed from family member. No ink, but done as done can be.

drinking w some big-money boosters at champions club.
Word is money is collected for riley buyout. Press conference 8:15 tonight to announce dismissal. But They’re saying no frost. Leach a legit candidate at this point. I hope these drunk dudes are wrong. Ughhhhh.

Future posts will be added to make sure we keep a track of these.

You know who to be announced Dec. 4th.

Boom

Believe it or not don’t care. Just sharing because some of you might like the update... “FYI… Frost won’t take a job at Florida or Tennessee. He’s been offered the NU job and has until Dec. 3rd to decide. He has spoken with Osborne about the new AD. The ball is in Scott’s court now. The only hesitancy he has is with unfamiliarity of the new AD and the idiot media and new generation of NU fans who have no clue how to build a program. He want’s to be sure he’ll be given every opportunity to succeed and not treated like Pelini was, which was a joke. Many of Frosts former teammates are encouraging him to come home. ”

My wife’s uncle is a very high up VP (there is like a ton of VP’s but he is like #1-2 so he directly works with hawks day in and out) at Tenaska who is owned by Howard Hawks. My wife’s uncle has told me that Hawks said UNL offered frost 7 years at 35 million total (5 million per year). I got second confirmation of this when a guy I’ve known for about 4 years who I workout every day with said the same thing (his buddy goes hunting with one of the big boosters / donors he said). Just passing along why I’ve heard.

I know, I know - the last time I posted "insider" information I was flat out wrong, and for that I apologize. But figured the board would enjoy hearing this tidbit as it is in line with what a couple of other posters have put their necks out and said over the last week or so.

Regardless, there is far too much smoke around Frost's name for there not to be some REAL, SERIOUS interest on our part to bring him home. I would imagine that $5/year figure will rise given the competition that is out there for SF's services, but we can also offer a longer term deal if need be and an assistant coaching salary pool that matches anyone in the country.

We offered $5.2M a year for 6 years. Ball is in his court but his agent wants to play hard ball with Florida. Scott thinks Jimbo may take the A&M job and FSU opens up, if that happens we will stick with Mike Riley. FWIW

I’ve now heard from multiple people that know what’s going on with Huskers athletics that HCSF is a done deal.

December 3rd he’ll be named our next HC.

Let’s hope he can:
1) rally the fan base
2) recruit
3) assemble a staff
4) WINNNNNNNN

For many, including myself, in this time of rock-bottomness it’s hard to imagine anyone being able to quickly right the ship. But I feel that the talent and abilities of our roster, coupled with the right coach, will lead to immediate success.

Given our schedule next season, our patience as fans will need to be at an all-time high. However, a school that has averaged 10 spots better than the next closest team in the West should have a great shot at immediate W’s.

Here’s to you Scotty...let the good times roll (again).

I talked to a guy who ran for the board of regents a couple years ago and lost but he knows some dudes in the know and he said Frost is a done deal at 6 years $26 million. I have no idea if true but this guy runs a very succesful business and I wouldnt think has any reason to make it up. I will believe it when I see it.

I just heard from "friend" down in Lincoln that Riley is being let go right now and the players are being summoned. Supposedly a press conference early this afternoon and wasn't done yesterday due to the Volleyball game. This could be complete BS, but this person I heard it from works for a media outlet. Not sure I believe it or not but thought I would share for entertainment purposes.

Like everyone else on this Board...I have a source with some deep pockets and connections into the AD and here's what I was told...

Scott Frost is high on the coaching list, but is not the top choice. Chris Petersen is the top candidate at the moment. As many are aware, Moos and Petersen know each other very well not only from the Washington/Washington St connection, but Petersen was a coach at Oregon (WR coach) for 5 years while Moos was AD. I'm told that their existing relationship, along with Petersen's P5 experience are the 'X' factors over Frost and a few others.

Petersen currently makes $4.8 million per year and I hear Moos is seeking approval to offer $6 million per year for 5 years.

Again, just relaying what I am hearing. I am not guaranteeing CP as head coach. Only things that I feel gives Neb. a chance is the money, the Moos relationship, and the recent frustration CP has publicly expressed about the Pac12 scheduling. Feel free to tear apart the info...

For what it is worth, A friend of mine who was a very high profile offensive lineman from the mid 90's has now heard it from two very reliable sources tonight that Scott Frost is a done deal. 7 years at 5 plus million a year. He calls them very reliable and one is a good friend of Frost's. We'll see....

Greetings Nubs fans, no way in hell I am reading through this entire thread to see if this has already been posted, and lord knows you guys probably have had everyone and their brother claiming to know who your coach is gonna be, so at the risk of adding my name to that list I will say, with certainty, that:

- Frost is your guy
- 7yrs/35 mil
- He was not the 1st choice of your AD
- Riley is slated to stay on in some as of yet undefined role within the athletic department

No troll.

Obviously nothing is done until it is officially done, but Frost is a done deal. It's just an issue of timing and making it official after his season ends. The Riley think could change I suppose, as it seems weird as shit to me, but maybe not to you guys?

I'd be curious to see what people think of Riley staying at the university in a non-coaching capacity. Can't imagine that is very common for coaches who get fired. As of now that's what it is, if you can find a site taking action get your money in now.

His family member confirmed it. Agent discussions have progressed beyond the point where it's been made clear he will take the job. He's coming. It's as done as done can be with no ink.

Thank. God.

Signing Off,

Not Juan Dixon
