kinda bored on a rainy out of season day. So proud of new coaching staff and recruiting job done this far, but I digress from love of NU Athletics below in a survey type question.
It is hard for guys to own up to being fooled the almighty power of lust, but is there anyone else that has been caught in a romance scam? I admit that I met a beautiful woman online and vetted her well and ended up completely falling for a absolutely beautiful professional con-artist, in Colorado Springs. Not fun to admit, but I am wondering if anyone else has made decisions and discerned character using the wrong head? My mistake has been a mammoth mess to undo as she worked my stupid a** over for money and property while I thought I was in love. 2 years later, lawyers have discovered that she has a 20 year history of this same scam over and over using her autistic son as one of her pawns! She is pathetic to say the least and a long history. I have talked to some of her other marks over the years and we have become friends around the common thread of being taken to the cleaners by this woman. In 2014, I found myself, after some really bad decisions, a movie caliber story or at the least a really good "catfish" type story.
The reason I am asking is that I have a business and/or non-profit idea involving a way to help protect people in the ever growing online dating arena.
Any thoughts or incidence anyone would want to share would be great? I am trying to gauge if this happens often. Please hold the criticism for another thread as no one has beaten themselves up more than me for being fooled and taking the bait. I am asking a serious question about a devastating experience. thanks in advance
