I have rarely seen this team "play like crap" . They laid an egg against GW. They've struggled to shoot the ball at times but almost every game I've seen great effort and flashes of really good play. They're young and inconsistent. IF the young guys playing now improve as much with just their consistency as Tai Webster has under MIles, think about how good they might be when they are juniors and seniors. I pretty much wrote this season off when White transferred as had most prognosticators. No way I thought they had much of a shot to have as many wins in conference as they do already. I listened to one national guy today that said he wouldn't write off NU's chances to go deep in the B1G tournament and make the NCAA. I think that's a stretch but hey. Heck Pavelka said BEFORE Morrow got hurt that there was no way this was going to be a tournament team. We've got two starters out and we just beat Purdue. Life is good.I have been all over the map in my opinion of Miles. I just really don't know what to think. Part of me sees the talent he has brought in and potential for the future. The Purdue game is a case in point about what these players can do. On the other hand we are in year five and most of the time this team plays like crap.
I think I will let the AD make this call and just sit back and enjoy the rest of our season. It's his job anyway and not mine. Hopefully we can make the NIT
Hope you are right. I hate the coaching carousel. Would love to see Miles succeed.I have rarely seen this team "play like crap" . They laid an egg against GW.
