Likely a must win today if this team wants to play in the postseason. Not sure how we stop their two big guys...hopefully somehow get them in fouls trouble early on. Purdue guard play is their downfall so we will need Watson/Weber to own that matchup. Hopefully Morrow can give it a go and provide 10-15 minutes. Line is currently +6.5

To paraphrase Jim Mora, Sr.: Postseason?! Don't talk about postseason! Are you kidding me? Postseason?! I'm just hoping we can win a game, another game!

We may not win another game until Jr returns, Jordy and Ben become more athletic and miles realizes that he needs to get Horne on the floor to gain some experience. Maybe not till the Big from Georgetown is eligible. He brings some excitement as he could give Jr some much needed help.

Must wins were against Rutgers and OSU near the bottom of the league not one of the two best teams in the league like today.

I turned on the game at the right time... Purdue was up by 4 and has continued to turn the ball over and the Huskers have been on a scoring run and got up 6.

Nice comeback after a tough start to the game. Like the fact that NU is getting some transition baskets before Purdue can really set its defense.

That ref who looks like Larry Mondello from the Leave it to Beaver Show never gives the Huskers many breaks.

About as good of a half as we could have asked for. Down 8 early, but up 6 at the half now. Refs letting some things go which definitely plays in our favor. Glad to see Horne getting minutes. He provides a spark on offense that we don't always have.

Webster is such a different player this year vs the last 3 years.

He has confidence now. He is more consistent. He plays on offense like he is the best player on the court and can score at will.

So do we suck against average teams and are awesome against great teams or what? Talk about playing up and down to your opponents.

Huskers doing a good job of pushing the pace, which seemed to give Purdue problems. Didn't necessarily get fast-break layups out of it, but got some open jumpers off the secondary break that seem tough to find in the half-court offense.

Purdue has made a ton of mistakes and costly turnovers in the first half. They have flat out played bad.

I am not sure whether that is our defense causing them to play so bad or whether it was just a bad half for them, but if they stop turning it over in the second half and play like they normally have been this year, this will be a hard game to win.

Hopefully we can keep scoring and keep causing some turnovers. GBR!

More of a half-court game this half, which favors Purdue. Tough for the Huskers to find shots against their defense. Hanging in there, though.

Still playing tough, but Purdue has stepped it up this half.

Swanigan hooked with his elbow on a quick spin around that got a foul called on us. I think Miles was correct to argue it.

We have to hit our shots when they are there.

Watson lost his confidence since the first couple B1G wins and IMO he really needs to learn to dribble with his left hand. He looks so awkward at times when they make him go to his left.

For all the negative talk on McVeigh, his scoring has kept the Huskers in the game today. Wish he could always shoot this way.

Still feel like the Huskers need to force some tempo if they're going to pull this one out Purdue just has them overmatched in the half-court.

Just turned the game on. We were tied and now it's a five point game. Have we been competitive all day or has it been controlled by Purdue?

We've been pretty competitive overall. It's been a back-and-forth game until the last few minutes.

Horne figuring out he can do more than just shoot threes. He's been more active without the ball today, and has given the Huskers a nice lift.

Where's Roby at?
Glad to see Horne return. If Roby isn't hurt, it gets very frustrating having Miles go away from the young pups who jump started this season.

Still playing tough!

Just couldn't hit our shots the last few games. Hopefully we can hit them down the final stretch of this one.

That's a good question. Haven't seen much of him today, esp this half.

Webster is starting to get clumsy... hope he gets it back under control to finish it off.

Good time out there, I think. Huskers have been disorganized the past couple of trips and Webster's trying to do too much.

Nice view of Webster rolling his ankle on that replay... give him a minute to get some rest and tape that ankle up so he can finish.

Can't believe we are still in this thing!

What makes Purdue so good?

They hit shots down the stretch... both 3's and free throws.

Win or lose, this is the best the Huskers have played in quite a while. Definitely the best they have played without Morrow.
