I'm of the belief that we've earned our ranking. It's how it works. We haven't lost yet. Why is #8 so implausible? When we lose we will move back down. I'd like to see this year's team play anyone when healthy.

People complaining about our rank in the polls make me laugh. So after winning all 6 games that we had scheduled, we are somehow more undeserving than all the "Top 10" teams that hadn't played a single game last month?

The polls are an annual farce. Look at the people doing the voting. You have on one hand, media people, most of whom have never played a snap of football in their life; on the other hand, "coaches" who are spending all of their free time watching all the other games around the country, undoubtedly. The only people I would trust with rankings are in Vegas. At this point, with the way media in this country is run now, I would trust computer rankings before the AP or Coach poll.

I haven't seen Washington, but outside Alabama I've not seen another team outside the b10 that I think is better than us. The b10 has 4 top 10 teams now that is where all the talent is this year. Everything I've seen in the sec (other than bama) and b12 is high school level defense

We deserve to be in the top 10 and I even think we should be around #5
