He’s a great wrestler, but looks so slow. Minny guy is super-solid, but it was a dreadful match.

I actually met Polar Bear’s dad at The Brazen Tavern in Manhattan before the Pinstripe bowl. Great guy. Kind of a biker dude type with tats. We talked about wrestling and how important it was to Nash’s whole approach to football.

The one odd thing about this dual between two Top 10 programs, is there was only (1) official.

He was very good, fair, and accurate. The odd thing was he had to review his own calls when the call was challenged.

And the screen they give him to review, is the size of an iPhone. LOL.

I feel like some of those takedown calls are pretty tough. Don't really know anything about wrestling, but it's fun to watch. Love the pace of a wrestling duel.

Me as well, never understood the excitement of two grown men rolling around in tights..

Only conference that gives two shits about wrestling is the big 10 nobody else cares..

I can't believe the Big Ten gives him a review screen the size of a Nintendo "Game Boy".

Observations from my first match in person: Good crowd. Not overly loud but that might have been due to the way the matches were wrestled. Would be good to have more than 1 cheer of GBR. Our guys wrestled really good, especially at the end of periods and end of 3rd period. Not much action, as evidenced by low scoring matches (except Hardy). Wish NU was more aggressive and force the action, but that is probably just me. Hard to argue with the results!

Lovett is great at counter attacks. Several times Minny opponent got to his legs, and Lovett turned that into points. Minto, Smith, and JVD had great matches and were the keys to the win (#300 dual win for Manning). They should let Pinto be aggressive the entire match. Not his personality to ease up. He may lose a couple matches because of that but think it offsets with more bonus point wins.
