Eichorst, Riley to Continue to Reach Husker Fans
Nebraska Head Football Coach Mike Riley and Director of Athletics Shawn Eichorst will continue meeting Husker fans by visiting four Nebraska towns on Tuesday.
The day will begin with a breakfast stop in Valentine, followed by stops at mid-day in Scottsbluff and Gering, and will culminate with a late afternoon event in Hastings.
Eichorst and Riley have canvassed the state in recent weeks. Following Tuesday’s trip, Eichorst and Riley will have made 12 stops across the state since early May. The outreach tour has previously made stops in Lincoln, York, Columbus, Lexington, Kearney, North Platte, Omaha and Beatrice.
Tuesday’s event in Valentine will take place at the Peppermill Restaurant and is free and open to the public. After a short flight to Scottsbluff, the group will take part in a lunch event at the Gering Civic Center. Tickets for that event can be purchased in advance for $15. The event in Hastings will take place at Lochland Country Club.
Along the way, Eichorst and Riley will spend time with IMG/ Husker Sports Marketing affiliates, and be available to the media. In addition to Eichorst and Riley, Executive Director of Player Personnel Billy Devaney will be on the trip, along with other athletics department staff members. Greg Sharpe will serve as the emcee at each of Tuesday’s speaking stops.
At each stop, 2016 football season ticket information will be available for interested individuals. Limited season tickets for the 2016 season are now available.
