To those that didn’t think getting bent over by the refs during the Purdue game…. right now this is a tourney team if that wasn’t stolen from the Huskers.
To be fair trying to take it to the last second is tough. Too many times we see guys dribble in to trouble or make the pass and the shot is late.
Might have been better taking that 45footer. I like Wilcher but he’s an inconsistent perimeter shooter.
I refrain from criticizing guys like Wilcher because I played pickup ball in college with guys like him. He’s a good player would would have schooled me on my best day.
Wilcher has a few hot games but overall is pretty bad. Can’t finish at the rim, has bad ball handling skills, and usually has a good game about 20% of the time. If he could ever become consistent we could be good
He’s a stud athletically and it’s a helluva lot tougher than you think to finish in the B1G. He’s a good defender and rebounder and can get hot from 3. Glad we have him

Wilcher’s hot games are generally when it doesn’t matter. Rarely do we see him get his points when the game is on the line. They come when we are getting blown out or the entire team is hot and we win by 30. Decent at end of games as a FT shooter.

This. He is putrid on D, and disappears for about 38 minutes a game on offense. When him and Tshiminga (or however you spell it) are on the floor together, the opponents seem to score at will
Part of the deal is that at least he’s some threat from 3. Other teams know they can’t just leave him to shoot uncontested 3s.
Somewhat agree with that. While he provides some capable minutes and depth, I don’t think he will be much of a loss. Essentially he is replaceable.

Negative? Maybe try facts, or retwatch yesterdays game. Wilcher got torched by speed. It’s not uncommon.
