The NSAA certified enrollment numbers today. Beginning with next year, the NSAA will use boys-only enrollment figures to classify football schools. And they will also adjust the number of teams in each class. Here are the enrollment numbers.

Some notes:
- Class A right now looks to have about 33 schools, with Elkhorn, Elkhorn South, Gretna, Columbus and South Sioux City all moving up to Class A. There appears to be roughly 22 schools in Class B, 44 in C1 and 42 in C2. Schools with boy enrollments of 47 or less will be eligible for 8-man playoffs and 25 or less will be eligible for 6-man playoffs.
- Platteview, Nebraska City, Aurora, Sidney and Holdrege appear to be headed from Class B to C1, though Aurora is likely to opt back up to Class B.
- Syracuse, Boone Central/Newman Grove, Norfolk Catholic and David City Aquinas appear to be headed from Class C1 to Class C2.
- Schools have until Nov. 30 to declare if they would like to opt-up or opt-down in class (if you opt-down you are playoff ineligible) and if they desire to play 11-man, 8-man or 6-man football. It appears there are several schools in each class that will opt to change classes. It is rumored in Class A that South Sioux City and North Platte will opt down to Class B.
- All districts in all classes will have either five or six teams. So it appears Class A will have six districts, B will have four, and C1 and C2 will have roughly eight.
- Playoff field will remain 16 teams in Classes A, B, C1 and C2. D1 and D2 will stay at 32-team brackets
- Six-Man football returns under the control of the NSAA starting next year. Their playoff bracket will increase from 8-teams to 16-teams, and their state championship game will likely remain in Kearney. Playoff teams will be selected solely on power points in this class, there will be no automatic district qualifiers.
