Armageddon and Independence Day??? Two of the worst movies I've ever seen.

I'm going with Midnight Run, Gangs of New York, and Good Fellas. Charles Grodin is great in Midnight Run.

Can't believe I haven't seen ROCKY 1-4
Back to the future trilogy
Jaws
Halloween movies (during halloween of course)
Any John Wayne movie. Literally.
Josey Wales
Goodfellas
Big Lebowski
And the greatest: the good, the bad, the ugly.

Comedies (Too many to count):

Tommy Boy
Billy Madison
Happy Gilmore
Caddyshack
Dumb and Dumber
Vacation/Christmas Vacation
Wedding Singer
The Waterboy
Three Amigos
GhostBusters
Blazing Saddles
Space Balls
Airplane
Naked Guns
Friday
Almost anything with Will Ferrell
and so many more

Sports Movies:

Remember the Titans
Wildcats
Hoosiers
Rudy
Unnecessary Roughness
Space Jam

Others:

Ocean's 11
Fight Club
Rounders
The Big Lebowski(Should be in Comedies)
A League of their Own
Independence Day
Pursuit of Happyness
Any Rocky but 5
As many have mentioned The Godfather 1/2
Pulp Fiction
Die Hard
Poltergeist
ET
Flight of the Navigator
Jurassic Park
Any original Indiana Jones
Romancing the Stone

Vision Quest is a very underrated movie.Personal favorite is Heat with Deniro and Pacino.

Heat is a classic. Great movie! But it's rarely on TV. Actually, I've seen a lot of movies listed that I love, but just aren't shown on TV enough. Road to Perdition, No Country for Old Men, Big Lebowski, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Fugitive, and Dr. Strangelove are a few that come to mind.

Goodness!!! Are you Siskel and Ebert????:)

Godfather I and II are in a class by themselves. Could watch those both 100 times (probably have come close to that already)

In the second tier of movies that I like to rewatch at least in part when I see them on:

Shawshank Redemption
Silence of the Lambs
A Few Good Men
Pulp Fiction
Basic Instinct
Bull Durham
Da Vinci Code
National Treasure
Sons of Katie Elder
McClintock
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance

Wow, you threw a lot of crap to see if it would stick. Many of them don't.

Cinderella Man...Heat (the scene with Pacino and DeNiro telling each other how it's gonna be is top-notch cinema from a couple heavyweights)...Gladiator...Hoosiers

A lot of good ones mentioned that would be on my list. One that I haven't seen, and I think is a hugely underrated movie, rarely ever see it on any lists, is October Sky. No matter how many times I watch it, I never get tired of it.

And nobody even bothers to mention the best martial arts movie of all time? I'm embarrassed for you guys. BLOODSPORT
Oh yeah. Was always on TBS back in the day. Was one of those my Dad couldn't turn off, no matter what part of the movie it was.

Do you have to stop and watch when channel surfing? What is that one movie you see and can't go past?

Mine: Shawshank Redemption

Pretty much anything with Kate Beckinsale in it.

Strange Brew....... no matter how many times I watch it (easily a dozen or more) I hear a line I didn't pick up on before. Elsinore Beer rules!

Nominee for movie most of you haven't seen (it's on Netflix): Grabbers. It's an Irish film and funnier than hell.

We could do worse than our most memorable lines thread...
" don't blaze up in here, waistoid!"

Debbie Does Dallas is still one I can watch all the time. It's an oldie, but there's just something about it.
