No better place to get sound advice than the RSS. My family may be looking to move from Colorado to the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. My company has an office in Dallas I can easily transfer to. Cost of living, especially housing it getting a bit high in Parker CO. We own a home now, but only planned to live in in for 4-6 yrs and then buy our forever home. We may be getting priced out of that option here (at least for what we want).
We are a family of three (have an almost 4 yr old son). Wife and I are around 40 yrs old. We want to live in a family friendly suburb, good schools, and preferably near a lake for fishing/boating. A nice quiet community that is not too small nor too big. Parker CO is around 50K population and something like that would be ideal. Our budget is around $400,000 for a new home.
**Can work from home if needed. Office locations are northern part of Dallas just south of Richardson and the other in Arlington.
So RSSers, where should I move to in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and what should I expect moving there? TIA
