Josh Allen was a victim of being compared to some recent QB busts- guys who had talent, but didn't develop. There are a lot of people around who believe in that garbage. It's called "fixed mindset". You are what you are. Nobody can improve much. Well, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Mahomes, and several others proved them all wrong.I remember that draft of QB's. I was called an anti semite when I told a fellow poster on here that Josh Allen was the best QB in that draft. They thought Josh Rosen was.
You can't fix stupid. Cam Newton himself is probably fairly smart, but choosing to buy into that culture of financial silliness that pervades itself in the pro sports world is a stupid choice. And eight kids? There's some simple math involved with that too. Not many wealthy people have eight kids, plus spend a lot of money on themselves and stay wealthy.
Word on the street is that Ben is trying to choose his GM. How funny is that? Dude has never been a head coach in the league. One could argue that Cliff Kingsbury is the better OC.
Jets interested in a defensive coordinator who just gave up 45 points in a home playoff loss? That checks out
I'd give it a B. I thought they were gonna hire Mike M. That would have been a big F.
Looks like a solid hire. I sincerely hope things are starting to look up for the Bears
Jared Verse. For all of those people who think you have to recruit five stars, take a look at that dude. Played at Albany for his first three seasons.
And he did all of that with Jared Goff at QB. But Goff did have the best offensive line in football, and best RB tandom, and a top five WR. But Ben Johnson is known as a great play caller with a creative offense that fits his talent (rather than the other way around like Arthur Smith and my Steelers)
Yeah, and Jerry Rice played at Mississippi Valley State and blah, blah, blah. Sure, there are exceptions. But they rare. Statistics heavily favor higher ranked recruits equating to on-field success.
Statistics favor five stars who also have intangibles. You know, the guys Nick Saban recruited. Lots of busts among four and five star players. Guys who look like Tarzan and play like Jane. There's a reason NU beat Iowa, Minnesota, NW and others year after year in recruiting and got beat year after year (or with NW every other year) by those same teams. NU needs to stop bringing in 4 & 5 star "Janes" and getting beat year after year by teams that bring in real football players who internet geeks only gave 2 & 3 stars to.

If they just did the minimum. Most go crazy and end up looking like a clown mask was welded on their face.

You can tell she is someone who would have aged amazingly - she was stunning. Now … not so much.
